I'm Joelene Wolfe, the founder of Happiness Depends. After years working in the corporate world and following someone else's dream, I took the big leap to finally follow my own. Happiness depends on so many things but it always starts with an idea, a feeling and a first step. I am now enjoying helping others take their first step toward their dreams.

Happiness is a funny thing.

If you think about it, your definition of happiness is as unique as you are. No two definitions are the same. It simply just depends.

But when it comes to life overall, finding happiness directly relates to how we spend the majority of our time. Some hope to find their purpose or that thing that it is going to put a smile on their face but often get caught up in life and find themselves doing exactly the opposite. If you can relate to this, you may have experienced a gnawing feeling that there is something else you should be doing? Something personal, important, something that is literally pulling you toward it? But then you push it away and ignore it.

I did just that for almost 40 years. I had that little feeling, tugging at me. I would put it away and it would reluctantly disappear for a while.

This, my friend, is known as your calling.

Yup. It keeps calling you and if you don’t answer, it will go away for a while but guess what? It will come back again and again until you answer it.

Or maybe you’re like some people and you are unhappy in your present situation but you don’t quite know what to do about it.
